Cyanobacterial Genomics

Med4 Genome The Department of Energy supported the complete genome sequencing of two strains of Prochlorococcus under the auspices of the Microbial Genome Program. The two strains, MED4 and MIT9313 were chosen because they represent the two ends of the spectrum of physiologically and genetically distinct strains available in culture.
